What is the Pomodoro Technique?

A time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s.
By repeating short periods of focus and short breaks, you can maintain high concentration for a long time while preventing brain fatigue.

Basic Method

  1. Focus on one task for 25 minutes (Focus)
  2. Take a 5-minute break (Short Break)
  3. After repeating this 4 times, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes (Long Break)

Why is it effective?

  • The low psychological hurdle of "just 25 minutes" makes it easy to get started.
  • You can artificially create the "deadline effect" (the phenomenon where concentration increases as a deadline approaches).
  • Regular breaks prevent sedentary habits and eye strain.
